Awakening

Locked out – society’s waiting.

Knocked down – the world is shaking.

Someone wake me up when it’s time for my awakening.

I feel the rumble.

I hear the thunder.

No where to run – just another day left to wonder.

Surviving on skill.

Living in a nightmare this can’t be real, but the fire burns still.

No escape, no time to exaggerate – it’s time to realize that I can and will.

I can see through the dusk.

I can see the ashes of what was left in the dust.

Going to hell, without any time to dwell.

I scream to the devil that there’s nothing to sell.

I arise knowing I cannot fail.

My body’s aching.

My vision’s fading.

Someone please wake me up when it’s time for my awakening.
